Patron Saint Mary Magdalene
Saint Mary Magdalene is one of the most significant women in history and is remembered for her unwavering faith, courage, and devotion to Jesus and love of all faiths, values and beliefs. According to the New Testament, she became a faithful disciple after Jesus healed her, remained with Him during His crucifixion when many others fled, witnessed His burial, and was the first to encounter the risen Christ.
Because she was entrusted with announcing the Resurrection to the apostles, she is often called the “Apostle to the Apostles.” Over the centuries, she has become a symbol of hope, redemption, faithful service, and spiritual transformation.
Her story inspires many people to embrace forgiveness, dignity, perseverance, and compassionate leadership. The GEWO accepts all faiths and religious approaches as this is the work of God the Father, the creator of the universe and all people were and are made equal, including women. Founder Anna Maria Lang
Anna Maria Lang is the Founder of the Global Empowering Women Organisation (GEWO) and the visionary behind GEWO TV, GEWO Magazine, and the GEWO Symposium. A passionate advocate for world peace, women’s rights activist and entrepreneur, she has dedicated her life to creating opportunities that empower women economically through education, leadership, innovation, and advocacy.
A veteran of the Australian Army as one of the first women in her role, Anna Maria’s journey has been shaped by profound lived experience. Having deployed on military operation, witnessed the realities of a war zone, worked alongside the United Nations, and volunteered with UN Women, she has also personally experienced oppression, poverty, and homelessness. These experiences have strengthened her resolve to create meaningful and lasting change for women around the world.
As the creative force behind GEWO TV, GEWO Magazine, and the GEWO Symposium, Anna Maria is building a global movement that connects women, leaders, businesses, and communities with a shared vision of creating a more equitable and prosperous future. Her greatest inspiration is witnessing the success of others while continuing to grow her own success as an entrepreneur dedicated to the betterment of humanity.
Anna Maria’s vision is bold and measurable. Throughout her lifetime, she is committed to advocating for and inspiring the collective generation of AU $3 billion in economic value and wealth into the hands of women through education, entrepreneurship, leadership, and opportunity.
